Animals from the View of Children
For many of us, our affection and admiration for animals often starts in our youngest years.
Through the eyes of children, we see the miracle and wonder of the animal world and so often become fascinated and awed by our animal friends, large and small. They bring us delight, inspiration and unconditional loyalty. |

Autumn’s Page is named for my 10-year-old niece and her love for animals. This space is dedicated and devoted to the writings, drawings and photos by young folks of the animals which have inspired them. If you are a young person and have a story to tell or a piece of artwork to share, this page is for you. Send us your contribution at editor@inspirationaltails.com and we will post it here.

Autumn’s Tail - A Child Remembers
My family always had animals. I remember dogs, cats, birds, turtles, and guinea pigs, often all at the same time in the same house! My love for animals came from my mom, who is a great animal friend. It seems like the animals sense that she is their friend.

I remember our dogs liked to drink out of the toilet. There was Boris and Taffy, our dogs. My mom has all these old baby pictures of me with our dog Boris sharing my car seat. Or me on the table, trying to color and draw with my cat Tigger sitting on top of the papers.

Taffy was a great dog, she was nice and patient. She really could put up with a lot of the things that I did. Tigger and Taffy were the best of friends. We have two turtles right now and they even know their names. They listen when you call them. Of course, I still have a hard time telling them apart.

I can’t imagine not being surrounded by animals. I think that I will always have many animals in my life. The End.
